The Red Fox is considered to be one of the rare animals of the Sierra but is seldom seen because of the animals ability to escape detection, plus its choice of habitat. It likes the high elevation of meadows and forests.
The American Kestrels are native to the Yosemite Valley. They are the smallest and most colorful falcons – orange, brown and slate gray.
